Five CASA trainees graduate and become CASA volunteers! Zita, Bee, Pat, Amber and Janice attended classes, read material and held long discussions. They met the Judge, the CPS Supervisor, a foster parent and CASA volunteers who currently have cases. They observed court hearings. They learned about report writing. They learned about the abuse and neglect of children. They learned about the child welfare system. They bring their caring, their skills and their life experience. As CASA volunteers they will advocate for the best interest of abused and neglected children, serving as guardian ad litem as described by NRS 432b.500 Welcome!
