Good Neighbor Day

Mr RogersYou know it is the first day of spring, but were you aware that it is also “Good Neighbor Day”?

This is day to celebrate volunteerism and good works in commemoration of what would have been Mr. Roger’s 85th birthday this year.

Thank you to members of our CASA community for making our world a better place by being “good neighbors” to abused and neglected children in your communities!

Learn how trained service dogs are calming children in courtrooms across the country in a new podcast with the Courthouse Dogs Foundation (listen closely to hear a special guest appearance by Molly B!).

DROP IN! Drop in and talk to Lori Nichols from The Division of Child and Family Services about being a foster parent and Chris Bayer from CASA of Carson City about being a CASA volunteer. These are two great ways to help care for Carson City children taken into state care due to abuse or neglect. Find out more! It's informal. No start time. Just come by. Also, CASA will be accepting donations of clean new or like new children's clothing for the Foster Kids Closet. 10am to noon at SAN RAFAEL COFFEE
